Steven P. Block is a partner at Futterman, Lanza & Block, LLP, where he advises clients on all aspects of estate and elder law planning, including preparation of wills, trusts, sophisticated tax and insurance planning. In addition, he assists clients in implementing intricate gift tax planning, including Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts, Qualified Personal Residence Trusts, and Intentionally Defective Grantor Trusts, utilizing sale techniques where appropriate. Mr. Block also provides counsel on probate matters, estate administration and tax planning relating thereto, and Surrogate's Court proceedings.
In addition to being an attorney, Mr. Block is also a Certified Public Accountant and has extensive experience advising business clients on the organization, sale and liquidation of business entities, including the preparation of Shareholder Agreements, Family Limited Partnership Agreements and Limited Liability Company Operating Agreements.

Prior to merging his practice into Futterman, Lanza & Block, LLP, Mr. Block was a partner and Co-Chair of the Trusts and Estates department at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek. Mr. Block is a member of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, where he currently serves on both the Estate Planning Committee and the Committee on Charitable Organizations. In addition, he is a member of the Estate Planning Counsel of Nassau County, Inc. and the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Mr. Block is a frequently requested speaker and has lectured and been interviewed by the media on trust and estate and tax issues.
